Abstract
The quality of life in the elderly is based on several factors such as: the physical and social environment, particularly the home, the neighborhood, and the community, as well as the socioeconomic level. The objective of the study was to determine the impact that the community has on the quality of life of the elderly, in the case of Ludo canton Sigsig province of Azuay, the basis of this investigation had a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope, the method used was deductive that allowed to know the facts and situations of the community that influence the quality of life of the elderly, the technique used for data collection was the survey, we worked with the population comprised of 40 Older Adults as a study unit. The results obtained conclude that the majority live alone, depend on their own care, very few live or receive support from their family and the community, they are very old people, which significantly affects their quality of life and hinders their relationships social.
